Jessica & Jake
After getting engaged on the beach in Bali, Jessica and Jake bought their own cool sense of style and a relaxed, happy vibe to their wedding day in the beachside town of Mangawhai. Jessica tells us more…
For Jake and I, getting married meant celebrating our love with the people in our lives that we love and cherish. We envisioned our wedding day to have a relaxed/bohemian vibe, so our guests could enjoy some drinks and live music in the sunshine and party into the night.
The venue was absolutely stunning, with the rolling hills landscape paired with the modern glass pavilion. We planned every element of our wedding from the ideas and inspiration through to the venue set-up and styling on the day. We were very lucky to work with such great vendors – they made our day a breeze so we could soak up every moment.
We decided to do a first look and wedding photographs before our ceremony – this way we could spend more time with our guests after our ceremony, which was lovely. Jake and I love nature and being outdoors, so we chose to have our wedding photographs taken at one of our favourite New Zealand beaches.
One of my favourite memories of the day is when Jake and I snuck away from the reception to have some sunset photographs taken. It was nice to take the time out from the busy day to reflect on how amazing our day had been.
Our wedding day was truly the best day ever!
