‘Our day was made extra special because our daughters were able to share the whole experience with us. We knew we wanted to have them involved as much as we could as it hasn’t been just about us for a long time; it was a family affair. We are such a close family and our daughters, being 8 and 3 years old at the time, were so excited for us. Both our daughters were with us when we got engaged and shared in that special moment, my eldest especially was there for all the wedding planning stage, and right by my side through every step of the way; she was so invested in us and our union.’
‘Everyone that came to our wedding brought happiness, love and a smile.
Our wedding day was very moody and overcast with high winds – at one point the wind was so bad it was blowing over bench seats! However, at every stage we needed it to stop, it did. During the ceremony there wasn’t a breathe of wind, then for our after-dinner photos it stopped just long enough for us to get them before it started up again. We joked it was our grandparents watching over us that day.’
‘After we spent the night apart on the eve of our wedding, we both flew in by helicopter to the wedding venue. The girls and I walked up a fresh white petal aisle listening to Brentwood duo sing to the handsome men all wearing a black tux and bow tie.
Our wedding celebrant was my friend’s mother; she made us feel at easy with her vivaciousness. After the ceremony we enjoyed drinks, nibbles and some laser clay bird shooting. Everyone wanted a turn, it was the best ice breaker game; I highly recommend!’
‘Later we moved inside for a three-course meal and speeches, then moved into the bar area for espresso martinis and dancing. The night was fun, fast paced and we treasured every second.’
