Sujata & Roshan
Sujata and Roshan celebrated their love story with multiple events… and multiple outfits! The exquisite colours and intricate fabrics represented the couples’ Indian heritage, and they enjoyed a wonderful weekend surrounded by loved ones…
Sujata: ‘I was with Roshan for 13 years before we got married. Like any other girl I had been planning my day since I was little. The best part about this whole experience was going to India, walking the bazaars and buying my own material and then getting it stitched to my designs.
I designed and stitched my own engagement piece at home, but the idea of stitching my own wedding gown seemed a bit daunting. However, I found an amazing local seamstress who stitched my husband and my outfits exactly as we wanted it. It was even more special because this process allowed us to have the exact same material and match in our wedding ceremonies (this is very "on trend" at the moment in Indian weddings).
Having multiple events meant we could have multiple outfits and looks, and that I find is the most amazing thing about Indian weddings and I really wanted to make the most of it.’
