Jasmin & Paul
‘We wanted to be married close to the water, under a statement tree and with a garden vibe to our wedding and reception.
I was lucky to also get ready at The Boathouse Row a beautiful B & B that sits on a private lake.
We chose to have our first look photos and bridal party photos there before Paul and I popped off to an industrial area in Hobsonville for an urban feel to our bridal portraits.
We were faced with typical Auckland weather, but literally had a sun patch that followed us everywhere we went! We either just missed the rain or the rain followed shortly after – it felt like my dad was watching over us the whole day.
Some of our favourite moments of the day are my mum walking me up the aisle, playing paper, scissors, rock to determine who would say our vows first, Paul crying as I was walking up the aisle (I have only seen him cry once), my brother speaking on behalf of my dad in both Maori and Samoan, and everyone finding out that we found love through online dating (in the days before Tinder)!’
